ENGLISH GRAMMAR
|
English grammar is a group of structural rules which describe how words combine with each other to form sentences. So, the important thing to remember is that grammar is really necessary to communicate more effectively. English is universal, but around the world we can find many forms of English for example between American and British dialects there are many points of grammar where they differ.
English grammar tends to fall into two groups: The Descriptivist - Describe the patterns through which meanings are typically created in functional speech and writing, and the prescriptivist - Set out pre-existing rules as to how meanings are created |
